Lanarkshire Golf Association - Tee’d up for a glittering career

When a promising young Airdrie golfer, Marcello Russo became the youngest ever player to lift the Weir Cup and be named club champion at Drumpellier Golf Club, Reigart were delighted to step in to help him try to achieve his long-cherished ambition to turn pro by the age of 25.

Coached by former Scottish PGA champion Colin Brooks, Marcello had been training all year at the Braid Hills Driving Range in Edinburgh for this success. Already the 2007 Lanarkshire County Match-Play Champion, this hard-fought victory and the sponsorship of local companies like Reigart should help Marcello achieve further success in 2009.
