Reigart Exceed WRAP Targets for Recycled Aggregates

Reigart has become only the 3rd company in the UK to successfully complete Waste & Resources Action Programme (WRAP) Capital programme.

In 2004 Reigart entered into a 5 year Action Programme with WRAP with the aim of increasing the use of recycled and secondary aggregates throughout Scotland to achieve the objectives set out in the Government's Waste Strategy Review - halving waste to landfill by 2012 - by engaging with all stages of the construction supply chain.

In the 5 year period commencing June 2004, WRAP's appointed external Project Monitors confirmed that Reigart consistently exceeded WRAP's production targets of 160,000 tonnes per annum of recycled aggregates arising from construction waste. Indeed, over the 5 year lifecycle of the programme we have produced approximately 1 million tonnes of recycled aggregates.

In congratulating Reigart on the landmark achievement, David Connor, Projects Manager - Materials Recycling, said "We would like to acknowledge and formally congratulate Reigart on the successful completion of the AGG21-002 project".Patrick Reilly Managing Director Reigart and David Connor, WRAP
