Asbestos: Rely on us for asbestos removal

Many older buildings especially pre 1932 still contain asbestos products. These products should be located and logged during a Type 3 Pre-Demolition/Major Refurbishment Survey, but due to their location and/or inaccessibility may only be discovered during the demolition, renovation or refurbishment works.

When asbestos is found, whether it be in the form of insulation, asbestos insulating board (AIB) or a textured coating, it is the contractor’s statutory duty to ensure that the problem is dealt with swiftly and effectively to prevent exposure to their workforce and the public. Breathing in asbestos fibres can lead to extremely serious asbestos related diseases such as lung cancer, asbestosis and mesothelioma.

Asbestos can also cause severe, unexpected delays to construction schedules, which is why Reigart offers a comprehensive service to access, analyse and rectify the situation.

Once analysed our qualified team of removal workers will either encapsulate or remove and dispose of the asbestos products. Reigart provides a highly competitive service in this area and all work is carried out in accordance with ACOP L143 “Control of Asbestos Regulation 2006“ as well as HSG 247 “The Licensed Contractors’ Guide”. Thorough staff training and careful management ensure that safe procedures are adopted at all times as required by current legislation. We only use U.K.A.S accredited laboratories that are compliant for atmospheric monitoring and asbestos bulk analysis.
