Facade retention: Creative solutions from our experienced, in-house design team
Facade retention plays an important role in preserving the architectural character and historic fabric of many of our city-centres whilst releasing the site for profitable redevelopment. Reigart Contracts has extensive experience in this specialist area of demolition work and our in-house design team can offer clients a comprehensive facade retention service from initial design drawings through to site clearance and recycling.
All projects with a facade dimension begin with a detailed analysis of client requirements in order to prepare a budget. Once this is agreed we prepare a full system design for eventual implementation and erection. Our next task is to prepare methods statements outlining every stage of the facade support and associated demolition process. These include precision calculations and form the basis for our Application for Warrant.
Reigart has the advantage of holding a substantial in-house stock of support system components, which allows us to offer the most technically efficient and highly cost effective solution. Our project managers will liaise closely with the Highways Department, Building Control and all relevant service providers (e.g. utilities companies) during the removal of internals and general site clearance, as well as providing close monitoring of the retained facade until new construction begins.
All our staff are highly trained, well-equipped and closely supervised to ensure we comply fully with health and safety, manual handling and other site safety regulations. Reigart Contracts Ltd is based in Coatbridge in Lanarkshire and can rapidly
mobilise demolition teams to locations across Scotland.
